Mumei’s back piece & guns- Kabaneri of the iron fortress

Guns

First I took screen shots of the guns from the show to create my template on tracing paper.

Next I used wood, craft foam & sprinkler head tubes to create my base structure for the guns.

I cover everything except the barrel parts in worbla using a heat gun and added detail with clay carving tools. To make the pieces smooth, I coated them with four coats of wood glue.

To paint them I used acrylic paint and sealed them with 2 coats of crystal clear gloss enamel spray paint.

The final step was to attach to fish tubing to the bottom of the gun so they would be attached to the back piece.

Back Piece

First I took screen shots of the guns from the show to create my template on tracing paper.

I then assembled my base structure using a plastic cup, swimming pool plastic pipe accessories, hose knob, craft foam, fish tubing, grommets & Styrofoam plates with the help of hot glue.

Next I covered everything with worbla using my heat gun and coated everything in four coats of wood glue to smooth the surface.

To paint I used acrylic paint and sealed them with 2 coats of crystal clear gloss enamel spray paint.

The final step was to attach to fish tubing to the sides of the back piece and attach them to the guns.
